Greetings,

I am LaLeeta Sweeper Pitts, and I am excited to be a part of Palmetto State School Counselor Association as your Administrative Assistant. My 20 plus years’ experience as an Administrative Professional has afforded me experiences where I aided top level executives, working in the South Carolina Public School Systems, Georgia Institute of Technology, Delta Vacations, Coast to Coast Tours and operating my own business Sweeper Events Planning. From 2007-2021, as a member of the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP), I served as President of the Georgia Tech Chapter from 2013-2014, and then as Regional Director for Alabama-Georgia-Mississippi region. 

As a breast cancer survivor, my spirit has been rejuvenated and I appreciate every second of my life. I am a South Carolina native, now living in College Park, Georgia with my amazing husband Derrick. We are also proud parents of two beautiful young adults, Melanie and Douglas, and are full-time caregivers for his mother (my mother-in-love), Marion. I enjoy traveling abroad, learning about all cultures, hosting events, cooking, singing, and dancing.
